David Dinsmore is the Editor of Irish Angler magazine, having taken over from the founding Editor, Roger Baker, in April 2006. Originally from Derry, he now lives near the shore of Lough Conn in Co Mayo.

Prior to joining DHP, David was an angling guide and casting instructor working on Ireland’s Great Western Lakes, Conn, Mask and Corrib. He holds the National Angling Guide Certificate, the Marine and Countryside Guide Certificate and the Level 2 Game Angling Coaching Certificate (Trout). His favourite type of fishing is for the wild brown trout of the Western Lakes, but he has also been known to fish for pike and even take to the sea now and then.
