Dave was crowned individual World Coarse Angling Champion in 1992 and joined DHP in 1996 as an editorial assistant, working under Roger Mortimer on both Match Fishing and Advanced Pole Fishing magazines. He worked his way up to become the editor of both of these titles before leaving the company in 2003 when he moved to Australia.

After 18 months down under, Dave returned to the UK, working as a marketing executive for Shimano and marketing manager for Maver before going into freelance angling journalism and web design. Dave then rejoined DHP in May 2007 to head up the launch of DHP's eight consumer websites. His role is to manage all the consumer websites as well as the DHP TV department, which involves filming, editing and output of web videos and DVDs for both in-house use and DHP clients. Dave is an Apple Certified Pro in Levels 1 and 2 of Apple Final Cut Pro 6.
