Richard joined DHP in October 2005 following four years as sales and marketing manager in the tackle trade. He was initially appointed as general manager of Advanced Carp Fishing. After a successful four months he moved on to Total Sea Fishing, which provided a valuable insight into another sector of the angling market. He is now business development manager for Total Carp, a title that continually goes from strength to strength.

Outside work, Richard is a family man, carp angler and amateur boxer. He manages his time between his family and catching carp. Richard has fished all over the world and has a personal-best carp of 46lb 4oz from the UK. He’s also caught crucian carp to 3lb 15oz, barbel to 10lb plus, bream to 14lb plus, pike to 20lb plus and tench to 8lb plus.
