A Worthwhile Cause
DHP's production manager Justin Fox competed in this year's Great North Run and raised money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, DHP's chosen charity.
Unfortunately, Justin's running partner came down with the flu a few days before the race and could not compete, but luckily Vicky (Justin's wife) took up the challenge. It took Justin and Vicky 2hrs, 51min and 43 seconds to complete the race, which isn't too bad considering that Vicky hadn't done any training!
The good news is they managed to raise £505.00 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. That does not include the gift aid which charities can now claim from the Inland Revenue if sponsors are UK taxpayers.
